SUGAR LAND, Texas, July 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Trecora Resources (NYSE: TREC), a leading provider of high purity specialty hydrocarbons and waxes, today announced the appointment of Michael Humby as Executive Vice President, Commercial effective July 9, 2018. Mr. Humby will lead all of the Company's commercial efforts and report directly to Chief Executive Officer Simon Upfill-Brown.
Today's announcement is part of the Company's transformation plan designed to improve performance and deliver returns on the Company's recently completed capital investment program.
Mr. Humby brings more than 30 years of experience in the petrochemical industry with Eastman Chemical Company and PPG to Trecora. During his tenure with Eastman Chemical, he held leadership positions in procurement, sales, marketing, general business management and M&A. Furthermore, he was responsible for all elements of the $2.5 billion Performance Chemicals and Intermediates/Specialty Fluids segment while serving as the Vice President and General Manager of that business. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Queens University, Canada.
