Fund selector Mark Le Lievre has left UBS Wealth Management, Citywire Selector has learned.

During his tenure, Le Lievre had been responsible for a number of selection-based roles. It is understood this included the sourcing, due diligence and onboarding of best-in-class mutual fund, ETF and separately-managed account managers.

Le Lievre, who was formally global content management head, had sat above the Swiss bank’s current head of fund research Roman Berri until recent changes were enacted.

UBS last week confirmed a reorganisation of its wealth management division, which was as part of a larger push to combine its American and international capabilities.

This saw Berri take charge of hedge fund strategies within the combined alternative investments team, while continuing to manage the whole fund selection unit.

Meanwhile hedge fund research, which sits separately to hedge fund strategies, falls under the responsibility of newly-appointed alternatives head Jerry Pascucci. Berri reports to both Pascucci and Bruno Maxler, head of client portfolio management.

Le Lievre was featured in Citywire Selector’s Selector 100 publication, which showcased the most noteworthy fund buyers operating today.

Prior to joining UBS, Le Lievre worked at JPMorgan where he was part of the global product and platform management.

UBS declined to comment on the development when approached by Citywire Selector.
