Unit 1 at the Susquehanna Nuclear Power Plant Returns to Service

BERWICK, Pa., Aug. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Susquehanna nuclear power plant's Unit 1 reactor resumed generating safe, carbon-free electricity for the regional power grid on Friday August 24 after completing a brief, proactive maintenance outage.

"Susquehanna's maintenance professionals completed proactive maintenance actions to restore redundancy to a major piece of equipment. These actions help ensure reliability and predictability of our generation equipment," said Brad Berryman, Site Vice President. 

Unit 2 at the plant remained in safe, continuous operation at full power throughout the outage.
