Larry Pinkston, President and CEO, and David Merrill, CFO and Treasurer of Unit Corporation, presented today at EnerCom’s The Oil & Services Conference™ 10. Unit is a diversified energy company engaged through its subsidiaries in the exploration for and production of oil and natural gas, the acquisition of producing oil and natural gas properties, the contract drilling of onshore oil and natural gas wells, and the gathering and processing of natural gas.
During the company’s breakout session, management was asked the following questions:
- What are you receiving for your liquids price and are you seeing any infrastructure issues in the mid-continent getting your liquids to market?
- On the drilling rig segment of your business, what plays do you anticipate will be adding rigs?
- What do natural gas prices need to be to significantly increase utilization on the low horsepower (400-700 h.p.) rigs?
- When you do a new build rig what kind of contract do you require to ensure that the rig remains utilized?
- What differences in day rates are you able to charge for a new rig vs. and older rig with the same specifications?
- Are you looking to add additional acreage to your Mississippian acreage?
- Can you talk about your completion design for Marmaton? Is it going to change?
- It looks like as a percentage of the total 2012 capital budget, the midstream segment looks to have a greater part of the pie than in previous years.
