Unitil Shareholders Elect New Director at Annual Meeting

HAMPTON, N.H., April 25, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Unitil Corporation (NYSE:UTL) (www.unitil.com) held its Annual Meeting of Shareholders today at the corporate office in Hampton, New Hampshire. Shareholders elected Thomas P. Meissner, Jr. to the Board of Directors for a three-year term. Shareholders also ratified the selection of Deloitte & Touche, LLP as independent registered public accountants for 2018. Additionally, the required shareholder advisory vote concerning executive compensation, also known as “say on pay,” was approved by a majority of shareholders.

Following the business of the formal meeting, Mr. Meissner, Unitil's Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President, presented a 20-year lookback honoring Robert G. Schoenberger, Unitil’s former Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President who retired today, as well as highlights from 2017 and a look forward at the Company’s strategic initiatives for the coming year.
