Utility Industry Expert, Kathy Nelson, joins Ondas Networks to focus on Industry Relations for Mission Critical Internet of Things (MC-IoT) Markets

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Aug. 20, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ondas Networks Inc., a leading supplier of private licensed wireless data networks for mission critical industrial markets, today announced the addition of utility industry veteran, Kathy Nelson, to its senior leadership team as the Director of Technical Product Marketing & Industry Relations.  Effective immediately, Ms. Nelson will lead Ondas’ industry relations and product marketing efforts across all industrial verticals including electric utilities, oil & gas, transportation and government.

Ms. Nelson brings twenty-five years of experience in the deployment of wireless data and voice communications systems for Great River Energy, one of the nation’s leading wholesale electricity providers.  In her former role, Ms. Nelson was responsible for the deployment of advanced Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and Private Land Mobile Radio (PLMR) systems.   Ms. Nelson is a recognized utility industry leader, most recently as the Chairwoman of the Utilities Technology Council (UTC), ending a tenure of nearly ten years on UTC’s Board of Directors, including four years as Chair of the Public Policy Division.  Ms. Nelson is also the recipient of the Electric Power Research Industry (EPRI) Technology Transfer Award for her work on Field Area Networks and the UTC’s Meehan Award.
