Valero Energy Inc. extends a hand to the spring flooding victims with a $50,000 donation to the Red Cross

MONTREAL, May 17, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - To support the efforts by the Red Cross to assist flood victims in Quebec, Valero Energy has made a $50,000 donation to the Red Cross Spring Floods Appeal.

Valero Energy is mindful of the hardships that the flood victims will have to overcome and believes it is important to support the responses of the Red Cross to assist those who have been most affected. More than a hundred volunteers are working in shifts each day to offer a reassuring presence and tend to the various needs of flood victims in terms of housing, food, child care and family services. "We believe it is important to demonstrate solidarity. It is therefore only fitting to provide assistance to individuals and families affected by this situation," explained Louis-Philippe Gariépy, the Director of Public and Government Affairs.
