Vista receives business award for focusing on its people, cost control, and client mix

Calgary-based engineering firm wins Canada’s Best Managed Companies program for fifth year

CALGARY, Alberta, March 08, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Vista Projects Limited (Vista), a privately-owned, Calgary-based oil and gas engineering, procurement and project management firm, was recognized today for overall business performance and strong leadership with the prestigious Canada’s Best Managed Companies designation.

“Best Managed companies deserve recognition for their entrepreneurial approach to excelling in an uncertain economic climate. They truly bring out the best in Canadian business leadership,” says Peter Brown, Partner, Deloitte and Co-Leader, Canada’s Best Managed Companies program.

“Vista is proud to be a Gold Standard winner in 2018, and has been a Canada’s Best Managed Companies winner since 2013,” notes Bashar Hussien, Vista’s Chief Executive Officer.

Highlighted in Vista’s most recent winning application, are the company’s commitments to its people, controlling costs and engaging a mix of new and existing clients and projects.

“It has been a challenging couple of years for our industry,” says Hussien. “Our continued recognition speaks to our ability to adapt and to modernize with the market. This ongoing recognition is proof that Vista isn’t going anywhere. We see Vista remaining a proud, Canadian-owned company for many years.”

Now in its 25th year, Canada’s Best Managed Companies is one of the country’s leading business awards programs recognizing Canadian-owned and managed companies for innovative, excellent business practices. Every year, hundreds of entrepreneurial companies compete for this designation in a rigorous and independent process that evaluates the caliber of their management abilities and practices.

The program will honour Vista at the annual Best Managed Companies gala in Toronto on April 11.
