Natural Gas Inventories as of May 24, 2019

The EIA has released its natural gas inventory report, showing a build of 114 Bcf of natural gas in inventory as of gas in inventory on May 24.

Working gas in storage was 1,867 Bcf as of Friday, May 24, 2019, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 114 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 156 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 257 Bcf below the five-year average of 2,124 Bcf.

All regions saw a build this week, with the largest again in the Midwest region. Stocks in every region are below the five-year average. Gas in storage in the Mountain region is the farthest below the five-year average for the area, at 31.6% below the average.
