Weekly Gas Storage: Inventories decrease by 167 Bcf

Natural Gas Inventories as of December 12, 2025

The EIA has released its natural gas inventory report, showing a net decrease of 167 Bcf as of December 12, 2025.

Working gas in storage was 3,579 Bcf as of Friday, December 12, 2025, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net decrease of 167 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 61 Bcf less than last year at this time and 32 Bcf above the five-year average of 3,547 Bcf.

At 3,579 Bcf, total working gas is within the five-year historical range.
