Natural Gas Inventories as of July 12, 2019

The EIA has released its natural gas inventory report, showing a build of 62 Bcf as of July 12.

Working gas in storage was 2,533 Bcf as of Friday, July 12, 2019, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 62 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 291 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 143 Bcf below the five-year average of 2,676 Bcf.

At 2,533 Bcf, total working gas is within the five-year historical range.

All regions experienced a net increase this week, however the South Central salt count declined by 11. Stocks in every region are below the five-year average. Gas in storage in the Mountain region is the farthest below the five-year average for the area, at 13% below the average.
