Natural Gas Inventories as of July 26, 2019

The EIA has released its natural gas inventory report, showing a build of 65 Bcf as of July 26.

Working gas in storage was 2,634 Bcf as of Friday, July 26, 2019, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 65 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 334 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 123 Bcf below the five-year average of 2,757 Bcf.

At 2,634 Bcf, total working gas is within the five-year historical range.

All regions except the Pacific, which decreased by 1 Bcf, experienced a net increase this week. The South Central salt count also declined by 3. Stocks in every region except the Midwest are below the five-year average. The salt count in the South Central region is the farthest below the five-year average, at 15.7% below the average.
