The EIA released its weekly Natural Gas Storage Report today, outlining how national natural gas stocks have changed in the last week.

In total, the EIA reports natural gas stocks fell by 47 Bcf last week, decreasing to 1,143 Bcf from 1,186 Bcf. This is 21.6% below the 1,458 Bcf that was in storage at this point last year and is 32.7% below the five-year average of 1,699 Bcf. This week’s storage draw was roughly in line with expectations, as analysts predicted a draw of 50 Bcf.

All regions saw a draw this week, with the largest in the Midwest and East regions, which saw stocks fall by 19 Bcf and 17 Bcf.
