The EIA released its weekly Natural Gas Storage Report today, outlining how national natural gas stocks have changed in the last week.

In total, the EIA reports natural gas stocks fell by 149 Bcf last week, decreasing to 1,390 Bcf from 1,539 Bcf. This is 14.9% below the 1,633 Bcf that was in storage at this point last year and is 25.0% below the five-year average of 1,854 Bcf. This week’s storage draw slightly exceeded expectations, as analysts predicted a draw of 143 Bcf.

All regions saw a draw this week, with the largest in the Midwest and East regions, which saw stocks fall by 47 Bcf and 43 Bcf.
