Clean Energy Financing Advisory Council Kicks Off California Tour in San Diego

Admission to all events and live webcasts is free for government officials, financial experts, energy improvement contractors, real estate professionals and others throughout California

The Center for Sustainable Energy’s Clean Energy Financing Advisory Council (CEFAC) is kicking off a two-year tour of California to increase awareness of financing programs and options that support home and commercial energy improvement projects throughout the state in an effort to help stimulate clean energy adoption.

The first in a series of traveling events will be held in San Diego on Tuesday, February 16, and will explore current and future financing models that enable homeowners and commercial property owners and managers to successfully upgrade their buildings and infrastructure with energy improvement projects.

Throughout 2016-17, the council will examine a variety of themes and topics that connect financial institutions with industry and government stakeholders to discuss how financing can remove many of the barriers that prevent consumer participation in energy improvement projects.

These events are for local government officials, financial experts, energy improvement contractors, real estate professionals and others interested in collaborating across sectors.

Admission to all CEFAC events is free and breakfast is provided to all in-person attendees. Participants must register to attend in person or to view the webcast.

For registration information and a complete schedule of upcoming CEFAC events and webcasts, visit energycenter.org/cefac. CEFAC is produced by the Center for Sustainable Energy in collaboration with the Energy Upgrade California® and Department of Energy’s SunShot Program.

The next CEFAC event will be held in the San Francisco Bay Area in April at a date and time to be announced.
