
U.S. power use to drop near 4% in 2020 due to coronavirus – EIA
Reuters U.S. power consumption will drop 3.9% this year as coronavirus lockdowns cause offices to close and factories to run at reduced capacity, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Tuesday in its Short Term Energy Outlook (STEO). The EIA projected power demand will drop to 3,801 billion kilowatt hours (kWh) in 2020 from 3,957 billion kWh in 2019
