U.S. rig count decreased by 2 is at 544

This week’s Baker Hughes Rig Count shows that the U.S. decreased by 2 last week, resulting in a total count of 544 rigs. Canada had a decrease of 96 over last week, resulting in a total Canadian count of 197 rigs.

Meanwhile, 5 regions experienced a decrease this week:

• The Haynesville is down 1, at 41.
• The Mississippian is down 1 at 0.
• The Permian is down 3, at 244.
• The Williston is down 1, at 28.

All other regions saw no net change in the active rig count.
