U.S. rig count increased by 1 is at 593

This week’s Baker Hughes Rig Count shows that the U.S. increased by 1 over last week, resulting in a total count of 593 rigs. Canada had a decrease of 19 over last week, resulting in a total Canadian count of 180 rigs.

Breakdown by region

Of the regions tracked by Baker Hughes, the Ardmore Woodford, and the Arkoma Woodford regions experienced an increase this week.

Meanwhile, 4 regions experienced a decrease this week:

• The Cana Woodford is at 20, down 2.
• The Granite Wash is at 9, down 1.
• The Permian is at 300, down 1.
• The Williston is at 33, down 1.

All other regions saw no net change in the active rig count.
