U.S. rig count increased by 13 this week, at 282

This week’s Baker Hughes rig count shows that U.S. had an increase of 13 over last week, resulting in a total count of 282 rigs. Canada had a no increase over last week, resulting in a total Canadian count of 80 rigs.

Breakdown by region

Of the regions tracked by Baker Hughes, 5 regions, the Cana Woodford, the Eagle Ford, the Haynesville, the Marcellus and the Williston saw an increase this week.

Meanwhile, 2 regions experienced a decrease this week:

  • The DJ-Niobrara is at 3, down 1 from last week.
  • The Granite Wash is at 0, down 1 from last week.
