Breakout session at the EnerCom conference
During GeoPark’s breakout session at the 2018 EnerCom conference, management was asked the following questions:
- Can you comment on Parex’s announced strategic initiative and what that means for you?
- Is there a lot of interest in Colombia at this point? New players? What’s the landscape?
- Are most of your local teams comprised of local citizens?
- You have good relationships with all of the national oil companies, like Ecopetrol. Do you acquire some of their employees?
- Is there a lot of demand for natural gas, like methane, in Chile?
- The Llanos Block. It trends south and cuts off. Would you ever consider acquiring the rest of the land?
- Are the minerals in all five countries government owned?
- How do you view the exploration risk offshore in Brazil compared to other Latin American countries?
- Do you have any plans to expand into Mexico or other South American countries?
- Do you think the success of Exxon and Hess offshore is going to pull more competitors in?
- In Colombia, Ecopetrol says they’re going to spend a lot of money on exploration over the next five years. Do you view that as competing for acreage?
