British and Liberian-flagged vessels seized by Iran, who President Trump calls “nothing but trouble”
Iran has seized two oil tankers – one British-flagged and one Liberian-flagged – in the Strait of Hormuz, following through on its threats to retaliate after one of its ships was seized by U.K. authorities off the coast of Gibraltar two weeks ago.

According to The Guardian, Iranian Revolutionary Guard forces have taken control of both the British-flagged Stena Impero and the Liberian-flagged, but U.K.-owned, Mesdar. The crews of the two ships are comprised of a wide range of nationalities, but at this time, no one on board is thought to be a British citizen.
