Vienna, Jul 8 (EFE).- The basket of crude oil used as a benchmark indicator by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, or OPEC, went down to $44.18, the OPEC Secretariat said on Friday.
OPEC said the price of its basket, which includes 13 varieties of crude, slightly decreased by 0.4 percent on Thursday, compared with the closing price of the previous session.
The September delivery of Brent crude opened at $46.86 per barrel at the start of Friday's trading on the futures market, a 1.07 percent increase since the previous session's close. EFE
