Sydney, Australia (ABN Newswire) - Petsec Energy Ltd (ASX:PSA) (OTCMKTS:PSJEY) is pleased to advise of the opening of the Company's Sana'a Office in the Republic of Yemen. The Company has leased office space, on the 6th Floor of the Libyan Trade Center Building which is located on Algeria Street in Central Sana'a.
The establishment of the Sana'a Office continues the implementation of the Company's MENA strategy and specifically the Yemen strategy. The Sana'a office will provide premises for the expansion of Petsec's operational capability in Yemen. The team in Sana'a will focus on expanding our in-country business relationships and the restart and ramp up of production from the Company's An Nagyah Oilfield.
The opening of the Sana's Office coincides with the opening of the Ash Shihr Crude Export Terminal on the Gulf of Aden, with recent oil liftings of up to 3 million barrels being reported. Local media also report that Yemen's 150,000 barrels per day oil refinery in Aden has resumed operations as of Sunday 4th September after being shut in for more than a year.
