Pipeline Vet Named EQT Midstream President

From the Pittsburgh Business Journal

EQT Corp. has named an oil and gas industry veteran and former CEO of Gulf Oil LP to lead its midstream division.

Jeremiah J. Ashcroft III, 45, will become senior vice president of EQT and president, midstream, of EQT Corp. (NYSE: EQT), as well as senior vice president and COO of EQT Midstream Partners LP (NYSE: EQM), effective Aug. 7. He’ll also join the EQT Midstream board of directors.

Ashcroft will take over for Lisa Hyland, who earlier this year announced plans to retire. She’ll be senior vice president, special projects, until March 2018.

A Naval Academy graduate and veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Ashcroft had most recently been CEO and president of Gulf Oil LP in Boston. He held senior management positions at Buckeye Partners, including general partner and senior vice president of global operations at Buckeye’s pipeline services division. He also worked at Colonial Pipeline Co. and was chief operating officer at JP Energy Partners.

“Along with an extensive background in the oil and gas sector, which includes operations, compliance, and the organic growth of pipeline systems, Jerry has tremendous team leadership experience and will be a strong addition to our executive team,” said EQT President and CEO Steve Schlotterbeck in a statement Thursday. “With our growing asset position in the Marcellus, one of the best natural gas basins in the world, we expect our strategically located midstream operations and low-cost operating structure will continue to create both near-and long-term value for our shareholders.”
