European gas inches up to lock in fourth weekly gain after breaching war-era peaks

(Investing) – European natural gas futures inched higher on Friday, steadying after days of volatile trading as benchmark contracts prepared to cap a fourth consecutive week of gains after surging past conflict-driven highs to touch their highest levels since 2023. The front-month Dutch TTF contract rose modestly on the session, holding near 72.50 euros per megawatt-hour (MWh) and putting the continental benchmark on
