Weekly Gas Storage: Inventories increase by 7 Bcf

Natural Gas Inventories as of August 1, 2025

The EIA has released its natural gas inventory report, showing a net increase of 7 Bcf as of August 1, 2025.

Working gas in storage was 3,130 Bcf as of Friday, August 1, 2025, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 7 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 137 Bcf less than last year at this time and 173 Bcf above the five-year average of 2,957 Bcf.

At 3,130 Bcf, total working gas is within the five-year historical range.
