Oil and Gas Spending Cuts are Inevitable for 2016 – Will Production Follow?

Budget layouts and capital expenditure plans for 2016 are trickling onto the newswires, with EQT Corp. (ticker: EQT), Noble Energy (ticker: NBL) and PDC Energy (ticker: PDCE) all unveiling their plans within the week. To date, the plans are mirror images of 2015: less spending, more production. Colorado Supreme Court Hears Oral Arguments concerning Local Control of Oil and Gas Development

This morning, the Colorado Supreme Court heard oral arguments in two cases where cities sought reinstatement of their bans on hydraulic fracturing and certain other oil and gas related activities within their city limits.
