U.S. rig count decreased by 10 is at 566

This week’s Baker Hughes Rig Count shows that the U.S. decreased by 10 over last week, resulting in a total count of 566 rigs. Canada had a increase of 7 over last week, resulting in a total Canadian count of 114 rigs.

Breakdown by region

Of the regions tracked by Baker Hughes, only the Utica region experienced an increase this week.

Meanwhile, 7 regions experienced a decrease this week:

• The Ardmore Woodford is at 4, down 1.
• The Arkoma Woodford  is at 1, down 1.
• The Cana Woodford is at 20, down 1.
• The Eagle Ford is at 42, down 1.
• The Marcellus is at 24, down 1.
• The Permian is at 279, down 3.
• The Williston is at 31, down 1.

All other regions saw no net change in the active rig count.
